Intravenous Iron Infusion

Intravenous (IV) iron infusion is a medical procedure used to deliver iron directly into your bloodstream through a vein. This method is often chosen when oral iron supplements are ineffective, poorly tolerated, or when a rapid increase in iron levels is required. It's particularly helpful for individuals with iron deficiency anemia caused by chronic diseases, malabsorption issues, or significant blood loss.

An iron infusion usually takes 1 hour, depending on the dose and type of iron administered.

DO NOT take oral iron supplements on the day of your appointment.

The client MUST bring the iron prescribed by your doctor.

A report will be emailed to your regular GP of the results.
